Founded in 1968 by Gregory Tung Sr. as Earldon Enterprises, initially importing Young's Town sardines from Japan before building its own canning facilities. The company was later renamed Lapaz Sales Center, then established Fishwealth Canning Corporation in 1988 with its first factory in Malabon, Metro Manila. Now operating as Maunlad Canning Corporation with four factories including a Zamboanga plant opened in 2007. Young's Town holds approximately 20% of the Philippines sardines market, ranking second among domestic brands.
