Australian canned tuna brand originating in 1949 when Greens Products acquired the Eden cannery on the New South Wales south coast, building on tuna canning operations that began in the region in the 1930s. Kraft purchased the facility in 1961 and sold it to Heinz in 1974. The Eden cannery closed in 1999 as domestic stocks depleted and Thai imports undercut local production. Now owned by Kraft Heinz Australia and sourced from Thailand, Greenseas remains a leading supermarket tuna brand in Australia.
