The export and retail brand of the Yurrita family, who have been producing conservas in the Basque Country since 1867, starting with salted and pickled fish out of the basement of their family house, Casa Mauleon. In 2011, under the Lorea Green Selection label, the Yurrita group became the first company in the world to obtain MSC certification for anchovies. Lorea Gourmet is the market leader for anchovies in Japan, New Zealand, and the Czech Republic.
